About Me
Hi, I’m Anthony! My whole life, I’ve always had an interest in how things work. I wanted to be a designer of mechanical devices, and in school, this drew my interest toward the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). I pursued a Mechanical Engineering degree in college, and graduated from UCI in 2014. Following that, I worked contract engineering jobs for a couple of years and came to realize that I was drawn more to the mathematical and physical theories behind engineering than to the practical side of the process.
Starting in high school, I became known as someone who really understood the class material and was able to effectively explain it to others. I was someone people would ask questions to when they didn’t get it, and I was often a leader on group projects. I also had really strong retention of material, even to the point where concepts I hadn’t worked with for years came back after only a brief refresher. As such, I decided to give tutoring a try, initially viewing it as a trial to see if teaching might be the right fit. I very soon discovered that I obtained great enjoyment from helping others to learn, and my students have consistently been encouraged and motivated by the progress they have made while working with me. For over five years, I did small group tutoring at a tutoring center, and then I decided to branch off on my own.
I specialize in the subjects that I devoted the most time to in my education: Math, Physics, and Chemistry. It is my goal to help those with an interest in STEM fields to succeed in their path by offering them the assistance and support they may struggle to find elsewhere. I have worked with over a hundred students of different ages, backgrounds, interests, and objectives, and at my tutoring center was considered one of the best in the area for my subjects of expertise.
