    Frequently Asked Questions

    What are your session hours?

I offer sessions between the hours of 11 A.M. and 9 P.M. Monday through Friday, as well as between 9:30 A.M. and 5 P.M. on weekends. All sessions must start and end within the stated hours.

    How long is a session?

Sessions may be scheduled for 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Sessions may be extended beyond the scheduled time on an as-needed basis if availability permits.

    What is your scheduling policy?

Sessions may be scheduled up to 30 days in advance. A 24-hour notice is required for any cancellations not related to unforeseen circumstances (illness, family emergency, etc.). Sessions not canceled properly will be considered no-shows and may be charged up to the full cost of the session. Repeated no-shows may result in restrictions on scheduling. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a scheduled session, I will attempt to inform you at least 48 hours prior, and I will offer a free make-up session if less notice of the cancelation is given.

    What is your refund policy?

I do not offer refunds for used hours. For refunds on partially used commitments, the refund will be 50% of the value of the unused hours. Pre-paid hours beyond the commitment are eligible for a 100% refund if they have not yet been scheduled and a 50% refund if they have been scheduled.

What age ranges do you tutor?

A majority of my students are high schoolers, but I will work with students of any age that are studying the subjects I tutor. Please note that students need to be enrolled in or planning to enroll in the subjects they are seeking tutoring for, as I will not take on students attempting to test out of a subject.

    Do you tutor SAT/ACT?

I have experience teaching SAT and ACT material, but I do not have a specific tutoring program for these tests. If you want assistance while self-studying using a prep book, I can absolutely do that for you. If you want a comprehensive test prep program, however, I recommend looking into a tutoring center that will be better equipped for your needs.

    Do you tutor AP/IB?

I tutor all levels of AP Calculus/Precalculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics, as well as their IB equivalents. Please note that while I have subject knowledge, I am not an expert on the IB program, so it will be up to students to know exactly what is required of them for exams.

Do you tutor college level subjects?

I can tutor select STEM lower division courses beyond AP level. Tutoring for these subjects is case by case, so please contact me for a consultation.
